Sensor

Sensors in the Wiafleet system are special settings that help you understand what's happening with your vehicles in real time. They receive data from the GPS tracker installed in the vehicle and display it in a user-friendly way.

Simply put, sensors translate "technical signals" into understandable information. For example, they can show:

  • Whether the engine is on or off.
  • How much fuel is in the tank, and when refueling or draining occurred.
  • How long the engine has been running.
  • The vehicle's speed.
  • Battery charge level (for electric vehicles).
  • Digital/analog sensors — used for connecting various external devices such as doors, buttons, signals, etc.

Each sensor "monitors" its own parameter. You can configure sensors based on your needs — to view important data in reports, on charts, or directly on the screen.

In short: sensors are your “eyes and ears” in the monitoring system, helping you track your fleet's condition without being there in person.

As an example, let's look at how to create the most basic sensor — the onboard voltage sensor.

  1. Go to the object's settings by clicking the quick access menu button.

      2. Select the "Open object properties" tab.

     3. A new sensor creation window will open, where you need to provide the following information:

  • Sensor name

  • Sensor type (select from the drop-down list)

  • Description (optional)

  • Parameter (the data parameter received from the device)

  • Measurement unit

4.After entering all the required parameters, click the Save button.

Now, when you hover over the object in the Monitoring tab, you can view the sensors that have been created for that object.
