Sensor settings
What is a parameter in a monitoring system
A parameter is a key element without which a sensor cannot function in the system. Parameters contain the data transmitted from the equipment, and calculations and information display are performed based on them.
The names of parameters depend on the model and device settings — they can look like: v_in, fueldata1, odometre, ignition, etc. To understand which parameters are used and what values they transmit, it’s best to refer to your equipment’s technical manual. Also, the list of parameters received from the device can be seen in the data column when viewing the object’s messages in the system.
When creating a new sensor or modifying an existing one, you need to specify the corresponding parameter — select it from the suggested list or enter it manually. The same parameter can be used for multiple sensors.
